Teachers often cite meaningful professional development as a reason they choose to stay in their roles. How leaders and their teams identify PD opportunities matters, and how they adapt PD to meet the needs that arise is important too. Through case studies, you’ll uncover what makes PD effective, how to plan for it, and the best ways to account for it. You’ll apply the same learning to your own context, creating a PD calendar and resource allocation plan. Equitable allocation of resources—be they time, people, or money—is the end goal. When leaders intentionally (and boldly) distribute resources so that they go where they are most needed, they are prioritizing the needs of the students and adults in their school community. Bring your team and learn together.
