Press | New Leaders submits testimony calling on Congress to invest in school leadership programs and funding streams

New Leaders has submitted written testimony to the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies regarding the FY2018 appropriations bill. We believe the current appropriations process is an opportunity for Congress to solidify its support for school leaders and demonstrate its commitment to improving student outcomes by making meaningful investments in programs and funding streams—especially the School Leader Recruitment and Support Program and Title II, Part A formula grants—that help ensure our nation’s teachers and students get to work, learn, and thrive in schools led by well-prepared, well-supported principals.
