New Leaders Staff Benefits
HEALTH & WELLNESS
Even with rising health care costs nationally, New Leaders continues to provide a robust benefits plan with minimal contributions from staff. All New Leaders employees who are scheduled to regularly work 20 hours or more weekly are eligible to participate in the New Leaders Health Benefits and Wellness Program. Health-related benefits are effective on date of hire. Plans run on the normal calendar year.
Medical Coverage provided by CIGNA
Employees may choose from two plans: High Plan-Open Access Plus (Non-gated POS) or Core Plan-Open Access Plus (Non-gated EPO). New Leaders covers 89 percent of the Core Medical Plan for employee-only coverage.
Dental Coverage provided by CIGNA
Employees may choose from two networks: Cigna DPPO Advantage Network or Cigna DPPO Network. New Leaders covers 99 percent of the dental premium for employee-only coverage.
Vision Coverage provided by United Healthcare
All employees that are enrolled in either of the medical plans will be automatically enrolled in the vision plan. New Leaders covers 100 percent of the premium for employee-only coverage.
Basic Life Insurance & Accidental Coverage provided by Lincoln Financial
Employees receive a $50,000 life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment benefit.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) provided by PrimePay
Flexible Spending Accounts allow you to save money by setting pre-tax dollars aside for eligible medical and dependent care expenses.
- Medical FSA: Eligible health-related expenses (up to $2,550 per year) include insurance plan deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, prescription co-pays, and allowable over-the-counter products for you and your dependents.
- Dependent Care FSA: Eligible dependent care expenses (up to $5,000 per year) include child care costs from a licensed provider; day care, nursery school, pre-school, afterschool care, summer day camp, and licensed care for an elderly parent.
Voluntary Life Insurance provided by Lincoln Financial
Employees who wish to enroll in additional Life Insurance coverage for themselves, their spouses, or their children can elect up to $150,000 in coverage through Lincoln Financial.
Short Term Disability provided by United Healthcare
The short-term disability benefit for staff who work more than 30 hours per week is 66.67 percent of weekly earnings up to $1,500.
Long Term Disability (LTD) provided by Lincoln Financial
The long-term disability benefit is 60 percent of your salary up to $10,000 monthly.
Employee Assistance Program provided by Employee Connect Services
This is designed to help employees cope with life’s many challenges. Trained counselors are available 24 hours a day by phone and the service is 100 percent confidential.
Benefit Plan Manager
Staff have 24/7 access to an online benefit portal. This convenient, self-service portal is where staff can select and enroll in their plans, print temporary ID cards, link to all of the carriers to search for providers, access claims, and update their information.

Salaries are commensurate with experience and include annual merit increases and the potential to earn yearly performance bonuses. Our generous retirement plan ensures that you can save for the future.
401k Retirement Savings Plan
Our 401k plan is with Merrill Lynch and administered through ADP. This plan allows employees to save pre- or post-tax dollars towards their retirement. New Leaders matches up to three percent of employee contributions, and staff are fully vested in the plan after three years of service.
Vesting Schedule:
- Year One: 33%
- Year Two: 66%
- Year Three: 100%

Professional development and training opportunities are offered throughout the year, and annual performance review cycles provide regular feedback.
TIME FOR YOURSELF
We ensure that staff have time to rest and recharge, with vacation and holiday benefits and flexible “Summer Friday” schedules that allow you to get your weekend started early during the summer months.
Holidays
Eleven holidays are observed each year, and our offices are also closed for the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Vacation
Full-time staff with less than three years of service will accrue 15 vacation days per year. Part-time employees will receive a pro-rated amount of paid vacation days based on their assigned working hours.
Sick and Personal Days
- Five sick days are given to all eligible staff annually.
- Two personal days are given to all eligible staff annually. Personal days must be used by June 30 and are replenished again on July 1.
