Laura Kadetsky
Prior to joining New Leaders in 2010, Laura was a litigation partner at the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she represented multinational corporate clients in employment, antitrust, bankruptcy, and breach of contract cases in U.S. courts and domestic and international arbitrations. Laura also represented New Leaders and other nonprofits on a pro bono basis while at Kirkland, earning the Kirkland & Ellis Pro Bono Service Award every year from 2005 through 2009.
Laura clerked for Judge Bernice Bouie Donald on the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee in Memphis. She has a bachelor’s degree cum laude from Yale University and a Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Harvard Law School. She is a member of the Advisory Board of Global School Leaders and a former member of the Board of the Yale Alumni Nonprofit Alliance and Founding Chair of its DC chapter. Laura is also an Ambassador for the Head and Neck Cancer Alliance, promoting head and neck cancer awareness, research, and advocacy.
