School teams—be it an instructional leadership team, a data team, a school improvement team, or a team for a specified initiative—allow us to get further, faster. Effective teams can have a significant impact on student learning, especially when the team taps into the expertise and diverse perspectives within the school community. In this workshop, you’ll unpack the four characteristics of effective teams, what those characteristics look like in action, and what you can do to develop them within your own team. Learn how to give your peers a meaningful voice, the opportunity to collaborate and problem solve, tools to drive progress toward student learning, and a sense of ownership in advancing a culture of equity and excellence.
